This course is structured to help students successed in their 8th grade PSSA's and be better prepared for high school science courses.  The first half of the year will focus on Physical Science principles such as the nature of science, force and motion.  The second half of the year will be Earth Science related.  During this portion of the school year students will learn the fundimentals of Geology, Meterology and Astronomy. 


Throughout the year the students will be required to complete a science fair project as part of their course grade.  The eigth grade science curriulum also requires students to complete quarterly CDC tests and the state science PSSA test.  

11th/12th Grade AP Environmental Science

This is a hands on researched based class.  Students will learn about their environment using a combination of current research, AP Environmental Science textbook and class discussion.  Attendance is very important in this course due to the nature of the activities completed in class.  Some resources used are:
