Classroom News

I'm NOT the type of teacher that believes that I need to have 100 rules. Middle School students know what is acceptable and what is not. I have a few rules that I am very passionate about. Here they are.

Physical Education Class Rules and Procedures:

THE BIG 5

1. ALWAYS SHOW RESPECT TO ME AND TO EACH OTHER!

2. WHEN THE TEACHER OR ANOTHER STUDENT IS TALKING...YOU ARE NOT!

3. COME TO CLASS PREPARED EVERY DAY AND PARTICIPATE IN ALL ACTIVITIES

4.  NO BULLYING

5.  SHOW GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

If students can follow THE BIG 5, then they will have a great experience in my Physical Education class.

Dress/Participation/Achievement of Daily Performance Objective

Students must be properly dressed to participate in class activities and demonstrate achievement of daily performance objectives.  More than one offense will jeopardize students's P.E. grade.

1st Offense:          Warning, Completion of "Not Dressed Report"

2nd Offense:          Parent/Guardian phone call, Completion of "Not Dressed Report"

3rd Offense:           Lunch Detention, Parent/Guardian phone call, and completion of "Not Dressed Report".

4th Offense:            Written referral to Administration, Parent/Guardian phone call,"Not Dressed Report.

 Physical Education Happenings: 11/12-22/2018

All students will start a introduction class of weight lifting.  Students will be working on different weight machine in a 60 second circuit training session.  Our major emphasis will be to tone all muscle groups without using heavy weights.  We are looking to do 10-15 reps in that time frame.  Proper lifting mechanics will be shown and how to spot each exercise correctly.  Safety is our main goal.

Things To Remember:

Winter sports will be starting on Friday November 16.  All students interested in playing basketball or wrestling should have by physical by November 16.
