What's Happening in Middle School Music Class?

A new rotation of music classes began on Thursday, November 15.
6th Grade students will do 3 units:  Rhythm, Form and Melody.  There are multiple activities in each unit including opportunities for drumming, composing and performing.  Students are assessed in a variety of ways including quizzes, worksheets and musical assessments.
7th Grade students will do 3 units as well:  Careers in Music, Music in the Movies and Musical Dice.  The first two units are exclusively in a Google Slide Packet that is available on Schoology.  That way you can work at home or if you're absent, its easy to get caught up on what you miss.
8th Grade is doing Ukulele in the Classroom. I was fortunate enough to get ukuleles and books this year.  Students will learn about 10 different notes and 5 different chords during the 30 day rotation.

7th and 8th Grade Chorus Meets on Days 1 and 2.
Boro Bravos meets on Days 3 and 4.
6th Grade Chorus Meets on Days 5 and 6.
The Holiday Concert is on Monday, December 17 at 7:00 pm.
Chorus students should report at 6:30 pm.
