Mrs. Kelly Musser – Asst. Principal

Greetings Waynesboro Area Middle School Families & Students!

The summer has arrived and students have completed the 2017-2018 school year! We wish our 8th grade students the best as they continue their academic careers at WASHS and look forward to welcoming our new 6th grade students in the fall.

Please continue to check our WAMS webpage and Facebook for important dates and updates throughout the summer.

Just a reminder - students and parents signed an agreement that WASD issued Chromebooks would not be used to search inappropriate items. We will continue to issue consequences to students who violate these agreements even over the summer months.

How can I support my middle school student?

  • Stress the importance of daily attendance to your child.  Everyday is a new adventure and regular attendance is a hallmark of success.
  • Do not hesitate to contact your child's counselor, teachers, or myself if you have questions or concerns.
  • Show interest in what your child in learning in their courses.  Ask your child to tell you about his/her English novels, cool science experiments, or what extracurricular activities interest him/her.
  • Attend a parent meeting. WAMS has several parent meetings planned throughout the year. Parent input and feedback is extremely valuable and we would love to see you there.
